Community Services

The Department of Public Works (DPW) also provides a variety of community services for residents including fall leaf collection, yard waste recycling, stormwater management, shade tree replacement, and overseeing the City-wide recycling program. In 2013, the City dedicated 21% of its expenditures to these programs that help to improve the quality of life of residents and keep the City green, in more ways than one.

  • Spring collection of winter debris (leaves, limbs)
  • Autumn leaf curbside collection
  • Street tree maintenance
  • Storm debris removal
  • Floodways maintenance
  • Stormwater management through storm sewer cleaning, repair, and installation
  • Placement of special event crowd and traffic control devices and after-event cleanup
  • City recycling program
