HOW TO REGISTER
To utilize the new service, smart phone customers must first download and register the PassportParking app from the Apple Store for iPhones or Google Play for Android users. One can also register for the service online at passportparking.com/park, using Facebook, or by calling the local number listed on the meter.
Once registered for the service, drivers will have many options to pay for parking, including the PassportParking app and mobile website for smart phone users. Customers with basic cell phone capabilities will be able to use Pay-by-Text and Pay-by-Voice options.
HOW TO PAY BY PHONE
Available for download on iOS and Android devices, the PassportParking app allows users to start or extend a parking session, add or update payment card details, electronically validate their parking, as well as manage notification and receipt options.
HOW TO PAY BY TEXT
Passport Mobile Pay also provides the ability for users to pay by text message (SMS). To Pay By Text, users can text their Zone number, License Plate number and the amount of time they wish to stay in the following format: ZoneNumber*PlateNumber*Time to (814) 240-6776. Users will receive a confirmation text letting them know they’ve successfully paid for parking.
Note: Users must be pre-registered with Passport Mobile Pay through the app, mobile web application, or voice system to utilize Pay By Text.
HOW TO PAY BY VOICE
No smart phone? No problem! Warren drivers can also utilize PassportParking’s Pay By Voice and Pay By Text to easily pay for parking. With the Pay by Voice option, Passport Mobile Pay provides greater accessibility to users.
To Pay By Voice, users dial (814) 240-6776 and follow voice prompts to complete the transaction. First-time users will need to enter credit card information using the phone’s keypad. To extend a parking session, users can call back and manage their existing session.
HOW TO PAY BY WEB
The same app functions are also available on the mobile website,
m.ppprk.com. Users start or extend a parking session, add or update payment card details, electronically validate their parking, manage notification and receipt options, and even view and print individual or sets of their previous parking transactions.
IS THERE A FEE TO USE THE APP?
A $.25 service fee will be charged for the initial transaction for the parking space. However, there will be no service fee for extending parking to the maximum time allowed for that space
WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM TIME ALLOWED?
Drivers in Warren can only park in a single parking space up to the allotted time shown on the meter or the sign for the area. For the Midtown Lot and meter spaces in the Clark Street Garage, the maximum time you can pay on a single day is 8 hours. For on-street meter areas, the maximum time you can park in a space is displayed on the meter and is typically 3 hours; however, there are marked meters that are 15-minute, 30-minute and 1-hour maximums.
