Finance Department

The City’s Finance Department handles all of the City’s finances and accepts the responsibilities of supervising the accounts of the various departments.  The Department is responsible for the collection, receipt, custody, deposit, investment, and disbursement of all fees, taxes, revenues and other funds due the City.  The Department works closely with the City Manager’s office and is responsible for debt management and has custody of all bonds and notes and of all investments and invested funds of the City or in possession of the City in a fiduciary capacity.  Office hours are 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Financial Reporting

The City's fiscal year is January 1 through December 31. The City's books of accounts are maintained in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for various funds and account groups. The Finance Department coordinates the annual municipal audit for the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR).
