This park is located on the southern bank of the Allegheny River and was given by the S.E. Walker, Roberts/Welsh, Viola, and Musante families. It was dedicated in memory of soldiers and sailors who lost their lives in service to the United States. The World War II Monument is located near the center of the park. Donated in 1902, by 1913 the DAR had converted the land to an "ideal pleasure place" for the benefit of the people of Warren that includes steps to the river donated by the Elks Club, Pioneer Fountain and Heritage Point, along with the forty-one tree species of the Tree Walk. A crushed limestone walkway winds through the park and provides a scenic view of the Allegheny River for walkers and joggers alike.
The western portion of the park is home to a basketball court, ADA accessible playground, restrooms, pavilion, and riverside picnic tables and charcoal grills. This park is part of the City's Summer Playground Program. (Description, in part, courtesy of Warren County Historical Society).
Originally the playground of the former Lacy Elementary School, this park located at the corner of Madison Avenue and Marion Street came to the City through the efforts of the Lacy Foundation. Amenities at this active park include a pavilion, swings, slide, teeter-totter, tetherball, basketball, ball field, bocce, and horseshoe pit. Lacy Playground is part of the Summer Playground Program.
