A Place to Call Home
Carved out of the landscape by the meeting of the Allegheny River and Conewango Creek, the City of Warren’s tree-lined streets have a house that you can be proud to call your home. Spend your days enjoying a fulfilling occupation and your evenings and weekends at one of our many family-owned restaurants, walking our downtown shops, biking our trails, kayaking down the river, or watching the sun set over the Allegheny Mountains in one of our many parks. The City is located about 20 miles south of Jamestown, NY; 60 miles southeast of Erie, PA; 90 miles south of Buffalo, NY and about 140 miles north of Pittsburgh, PA.
A Place to Raise a Family
In the City of Warren, we strive to make our city a safe place for children; after all, children under 18 make up 21.2% of our population. Our city boasts plenty of outdoor recreational opportunities for your growing family including several playgrounds, a city pool and even a skate park, and in the summer, we staff our most frequently used parks for our summer playground program. Our professional police and fire services can give you confidence that you’ve chosen a home that values the safety of your family. Our children’s education is a priority of the Warren County School District, which operates the Warren Area Elementary Center, Beaty-Warren Middle School, and the Warren Area High School.
A Place to Succeed
One-third of our residents enjoy occupations in management, business, science and the arts, with an average commute of 16 minutes. Our city enjoys an unemployment rate of 5%, well below both the state and national averages, and provides our residents with a median family income of $54,071. The cost of living in the city is a little more than 7% below the national average, meaning your dollar goes farther in Warren. Five of the top ten employers in the county are located within the City, which allows us to boast a walk-to-work rate of 12.5%, that’s double the state average and more than triple the national average.
