In an effort to assist the Department of Public Works with snow plowing, fall leaf pick-up, and other necessary maintenance issues, certain streets throughout the City of Warren call for Alternate Parking during specified times of the year. Please watch for signs for those areas where alternate parking is in effect from November 1 through March 31.

Certain streets in the Downtown Business District are posted no parking from 3:00 A.M. to 6:00 A.M. On-street parking is prohibited during these times so that Public Works can provide necessary street maintenance.
When requested, permits may be approved on a temporary basis (not to exceed 30 days). With the approval of the Chief of Police, contractors may be relieved from some of the parking restrictions in order to complete necessary construction projects in the downtown. Contractor permits will be approved on a case-by-case basis and will be subject to payment of any applicable fees (Ordinance No. 1800, Ordinance No. 1847).
It is unlawful for any person to stop, park, leave standing, or store any motorized vehicle on any street or roadway for a continuous period in excess of seventy-two (72) hours. All vehicles parked on City streets must be moved at least once during a 72 hours period (Ordinance No. 1800).
The City provides the option for individuals with a disability and disabled American veterans to apply for an on-street disabled parking space near their place of residence. An application is necessary and the fee for the installation, if approved, is included each year in the City's fee resolution. To be eligible, an individual must have a placard or license plate from Pennsylvania (or other state or provincial agency) which is supplied by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. A commercial enterprise may also use the same application process to apply for a disability space near their store or restaurant. On-Street and off-street disabled parking spaces have been designated throughout the downtown commercial core and its adjoining lots and garages for the convenience of the City's residents and visitors.
