John D. Barbera, Council Member

Mr. Barbera took the Oath of Office as a member of Warren City Council on January 2, 2024. 

He was born and raised in Warren and, after living in Los Angeles, CA, Washington, D.C., Little Rock, AK, Atlanta, GA, and Fort Mill, SC, he returned to Warren in 2018. At the time of his election to Council, Mr. Barbera had been a resident of the City for a cumulative total of 30 years. 

Education: Clarion University, Undergraduate Degree in Business Administration-Marketing; Georgia State University, Master of Science Degree in Marketing; Villanova University, Project Management

Mr. Barbera is an experienced Senior-Level Project/Program Manager with 25+ years of leading crucial project implementation team processes and leading deployment planning, system customizations, and system rollouts and providing critical oversight to assist training and address complex business requirements. 

Councilman Barbera attends St. Joseph Catholic Church. He enjoys spending time, especially road trips, with his family which includes his wife Christine and their daughter Shalynn. The Barberas also count Rocky (dog) and Phoenix (cat) as members of their family. 

 

Mr. Barbera's term will expire on December 31, 2027.
