Registration of Vacant Real Property that is not subject to a Mortgage in Foreclosure
Any owner of vacant property that is not subject to mortgage foreclosure shall, within 180 days after the property becomes vacant, register the real property on the registry.
Exceptions to this requirement are:
1. Real properties that are actively marketed (as defined in Chapter 366)
2. Real properties that are currently under construction or are in the process of being remodeled are exempt from this requirement provided that the time period for said construction or remodel cannot exceed two years and all required permits must be obtained throughout the course of the project.
