Zoning Hearing Board
The purpose of the City of Warren Zoning Hearing Board is to facilitate the fair and equitable application and administration of the Zoning Ordinance by hearing appeals in regard to the Zoning Officer’s determinations and by granting relief from the enforcement of the ordinance in certain hardship situations. Appeals may be made by submitting a Zoning Appeal Application.
The Board schedules hearings on applications and appeals that come before it, receives and considers evidence, and issues written decisions with findings of fact and conclusions of law. The activities of the Zoning Hearing Board are governed by the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code (MPC) and by the local Zoning Ordinance (Chapter 470 of the Code of the City of Warren).
The City of Warren Zoning Hearing Board meets on an appeals-received basis and is comprised of three full members and one alternate member.
