Notice of Second Public Hearing and Request for Proposals for the 2024 CDBG Program
Notice is hereby given by the City of Warren that it will hold a Public Hearing on Monday September 16, 2024 at 7:00 PM in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building at 318 West Third Avenue. This meeting is accessible to individuals with disabilities and/or for persons with Limited English Proficiency. Residents of the City of Warren are hereby informed that the City expects to submit an application in October 2024 to the PA Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) under its Small Communities Program (SCP) for $308,252.00 in federal fiscal year (FFY) 2024 entitlement funds.
The City of Warren proposes utilization of FFY 2024 funds for the administration and construction of street/road improvements to Hammond Street. Intended improvements include pavement, subbase, curbing, sidewalk, drainage, and sewer improvements.
All interested citizens are encouraged to attend and will be offered the opportunity to give oral testimony at the Public Hearing and/or to present written comments concerning the needs of the City of Warren proposed CDBG Program activities, the prior use of CDBG funds, as well as the CDBG Program in general by Proposals and comments may be submitted to Kassie Damcott, Administrative Assistant, 318 West Third Avenue, Warren, PA 16365 or call (814)723-6300, Ext. 120, Monday through Friday between 8:00am and 4:30pm.
The deadline for comments is Friday October 4, 2024 at 4:30 PM in order to allow for appropriate review of concerns and comments prior to the October 21, 2024 Council meeting where the application will be approved for FFY 2024. This Council meeting will be held at 7:00 PM in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building at 318 West Third Avenue on Monday October 21, 2024.
